David is the founder and director of The Bear Educational Theatre, which runs an extensive educational theatre program in the Czech Republic, France, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, and the UK. He has also played in and directed numerous professional theatre productions in Prague over the last 20 years including The Bear by Chekhov and A Christmas Carol by Dickens. David is featured in over 20 films including Dune, Joan of Arc, Dr. Zhivago, Hitler: The Rise of Evil (TV versions) and A Knight's Tale. He also writes for the theatre and his latest plays True Love and Father's Day premiered at the 2010 International Prague Fringe Festival. David is a Prague Shakespeare Festival company member and has appeared with the company as the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet at Vyšehrad's Summer Stage and as the Player King in Hamlet at Divaldo Na Pradle and the Old Burgrave Residence, Vyšehrad. He is delighted to be sharing the stage with the artists from America, his associates in Prague and especially his wife, Lenka.
